Attorney Donald J. Chewning has represented hundreds of Social Security disability clients at hearings before Administrative Law Judges in hearings across Wisconsin. He also appeals cases to federal district court when necessary and is admitted to practice in the federal courts of the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the Northern District of Illinois. He has argued cases before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago and has appeared before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
His practice is primarily focused on representing Social Security Disability claimants. Donald began his legal career by clerking for Justice Ann Walsh Bradley of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He earned his B.A. (with honors) from the University of Texas and his law degree from Marquette University Law School where he graduated summa cum laude.
He is currently a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Manitowoc Bar Association. He is also a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). From 2008 to 2010, he served on the Wisconsin State Bar Board of Governors. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
